At present, the amount of Aluminium Hydroxide is more in China, but with the increase of polymer processing temperature, aluminium hydroxide is easy to decompose and reduce the flame retardant effect. Active magnesium hydroxide has the following advantages over Aluminium Hydroxide:

The thermal decomposition temperature of active magnesium hydroxide is 340℃, 100℃ higher than that of Aluminium Hydroxide, which is conducive to increasing the processing temperature of plastics, speeding up the extrusion speed, improving the plasticizing effect, shortening the moulding time, having a high gloss on the surface of products, and avoiding surface defects. At the same time, it ensures super peeling strength;

2. Uniform particle size distribution, good compatibility with the base material, little impact on the mechanical properties of products;

3. Magnesium hydroxide produced by combustion and dehydration of active magnesium hydroxide is a kind of high strength and high heat-resistant material. It can be used as a protective wall to isolate fire sources and toxic and harmful gases. Active magnesium hydroxide has strong neutralization ability with acid, and can neutralize acid gases such as SO2, NO X and CO2 produced during the combustion process of plastics more quickly;

4. Active magnesium hydroxide has high decomposition ability, high flame retardant efficiency, strong smoke suppression ability, low hardness and small friction to equipment, which is helpful to prolong the service life of equipment;

5. Low price, active magnesium hydroxide is half of the price of Aluminium Hydroxide. Large filling volume can greatly reduce the cost of products.
